A savory, protein-rich bowl that doubles as a hydrating summer treat.
What You'll Need
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken or beef bone broth
- ¼ cup cooked shredded chicken (plain, no seasoning)
- 2 tbsp carrot, finely diced
- 1 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, roughly chopped
How to Make It
- Prep the mix-ins: Make sure the chicken is fully cooled and pulled into small shreds. Dice the carrot small so pieces stay suspended in the ice.
- Fill the mold: Pour the broth into the mold. Distribute the chicken, carrot, and parsley evenly throughout.
- Freeze: Place on a flat surface and freeze for at least 8 hours until solid.
- Serve: Run the base under warm water for 10–15 seconds, flex to release, and serve. Your dog will smell this from across the house!
⚠️ Important: Use broth labeled "low sodium" and check that it contains no onion, garlic, chives, or leeks — all toxic to dogs. Homemade broth (just bones + water) is the safest option. Parsley is a natural dog breath freshener!
